Conservation Is An Ongoing Process for Alicura
As a working ranch, Alicura relies on the wealth of its natural resources.
From its abundant and healthy wildlife to its magnificent terrain, Alicuras future
is safeguarded through progressive management.
Ward Lay purchased Alicura in 1998 and began undertaking a major
improvement program to create a world-class hunting & fishing destination, including
the new 20,000-acre enclosure, ridding the property of sheep, improving the housing and
assembling a staff from luxury hospitality and sporting facilities from around the world.
In this region of Patagonia, Estancia Alicura and such neighbors
as Ted Turner have worked through the conservation to preserve the natural beauty of the
land. |
