In Memory of Mel Krieger
In Patagonia we have many legends, our native people believed that the spirits always watched over them, always helping with actions that made there life more easy.
Another legend says that he who eats the fruit of the Calafate plant will always return to Patagonia.
We know as a fact that Mel ate plenty of Calafate, he fell in love with our country, our people, our culture and our trout.
We can not choose our birth place but we sure can pick our own personal place in life.
Mel chose Argentina, and he left us all his knowledge, his kindness and most important of all, his friendship.
Love, passion, devotion, words that define Mel’s life, love for nature, passion for fishing, and devotion for teaching.
So long Mel, we will always remember you and hopefully your spirit will guide us to one of those magnificent rises that you loved so much.
